TTK University of Applied Sciences (TTK UAS) ist eine staatliche Hochschule, die wettbewerbsfähige berufliche Hochschulbildung und angewandte Forschung in den Bereichen Technologie, Produktion, Bauingenieurwesen, Logistik, Wirtschaft und Soziales anbietet. Die TTK UAS ist die größte Fachhochschule in Estland und bildet derzeit mehr als 3000 Studenten aus. Damit ist die TTK UAS die viertgrößte Hochschule in Estland.

Kaitseväe Akadeemia (im Folgenden: Akademie) ist eine Hochschule für nationale Verteidigung im Sinne des Gesetzes über Einrichtungen der beruflichen Hochschulbildung. Die estnische Abkürzung der Akademie lautet "KVA". Die Akademie ist eine strukturelle Einheit der Verteidigungskräfte unter der direkten Aufsicht des Kommandanten der Verteidigungskräfte.
